Welcome to Itakesavillage.  We are an organization determined to supply families with all they need to raise a healthy and happy family. 

We all are in need of something, and with today's mindset of "keeping up with the Jones' " it is almost impossible to make ends meet.  We have accumulated so much debt that most of us can barely make it from paycheck to paycheck. With this in mind we have decided to put an end to the struggle of daily life and come together as a community to help one another. 

This is not charity.  This is purely getting back to the basics of life.  In some Villages today, people still live this way.  By taking what extras they have and passing them on to others in the Village, or by lending skills to those who need them.  This is what we are all about; passing on our extras, skills and even our ears to those who need them.  Don't we all already do this in some way?  We give and take as any Village or family should.  

We will do our best to supply families with all the things they need to raise their children: items such as cloth diapers, slings, nursing supplies, clothing, endless lists of resources and much, much more.  We are also in the process of obtaining a Non-profit status.  This will allow us to extend our abilities to give and support one another even more.  This is a lengthy process, but in the mean time there are many ways for you to help and get what you need.  Please see our Forums and information pages to find out more about how you can become a member of our Village and help your self and others raise the next generation of healthy and happy children.

The cause is worth it; our children and our families are worth it; so let's all do what we can.
